Ohio State Medical Association Endorses Dan Ramos for State Representative

Dear Candidate Ramos:

Congratulations! We are pleased to inform you that the Ohio State Medical Association Political Action Committee (OSMAPAC) has endorsed your candidacy for the 2010 General Election.

As the political voice for our 20,000 physician, resident and medical student members, the OSMAPAC is proud to endorse your candidacy. Ohio physicians face a myriad of issues, including managed care reform, Medicare and Medicaid reimbursements, scope of practice, medical liability concerns, public health issues and the implementation of the federal health system reform legislation. We look forward to working with you on these and other important health care policy issues when you are elected in November.

The OSMAPAC Board of Directors made endorsements based on the following criteria:

  • A candidate’s philosophy on medical issues
  • A candidate’s voting record (if applicable)
  • A candidate’s completed OSMAPAC questionnaire (if applicable)
  • A candidate’s interview (if applicable)
  • District demographics and a candidate’s ability to win
  • Recommendations from local OSMA members

Best of luck in your campaign. You are welcome to publicize this endorsement. Let us know if we can be of any assistance in the coming months.
